Hello Lovelies,

Recently, I won two tickets to watch the Hear Word stage play on the 5th of August at Muson centre.

I and my date went to watch it and we had the most amazing experience.

I have never been to the theatre thought it was for the older generation but this play changed my view. I love it😀

Plot: Women openly expressing their opinions on the deep-rooted inequality between men and women is not something you will hear too often in countries such as Nigeria. Hear Word! breaks through this culture of silence with a stand-up show crammed full of colourful characters unafraid to tackle any subject. Ten leading actresses engage in a revealing commentary on highly charged themes such as arranged marriage, domestic violence and female genital mutilation, as well as more universal topics such as the limited role played by women in government and politics. They present personal stories of Nigerian women with compassion and humour, accompanied by powerful commentary. A passionate indictment of the status quo and a powerful call for change: Hear Word!

Directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa starring Joke Silva, Bimbo Akintola, Omonor, Elvina Ibru, Ufuoma McDermott, Zara Udofia-Ejoh, Rita Edward, Oluchi Tochukwu and Debbie Ohiri.

I was inspired and touched by hear word stage play.  This play shines more light on Nigerian women issues and how we should face and change them. It is sad that Hear Word stories are real life experiences.

It is inspiring that people have come together to change our world in their own little way with this play. Hear Word play is empowering.

Hear Word play is art at its peak. It was entertaining and educative. The casts were passionate and professional. They had the right attitude to pass the message with their craft.

Thanks to the director for this wonderful initiative. These stories are relevant to be told and the exposure is needed. It is definitely a must watch play.

You all deserve a standing ovation and so much more.
